EQUIPE – Explore Quality Improvement in Primary Education

The Project

What does successful education look like? What challenges do schools and daycare centres have to take up in the 21st century? How do they go up to challenges? The Dutch-German Comenius Regio partnership EQUIPE dealt with these fundamental questions. Regular meetings of educators from the cities of ‘s-Hertogenbosch and Trier took place during the two-year term of the project, which ended in summer 2013. Dutch and German teams from six primary education institutions got to know the educational system of the participating countries and experienced the different learning cultures. They exchanged views on quality improvements in primary education and learnt from each other’s experiences.

The project was coordinated by Aufsichts- und Dienstleistungsdirektion and Pädagogisches Landesinstitut in Rheinland-Pfalz, Germany and the city of ‘s-Hertogenbosch in the Netherlands. EQUIPE was supported by the EU within the framework of Comenius.
